What we collect, why we need it, who sees it — and how to ask us to change or remove it.

01Who we are
Letiva.uk (“Letiva”, “we”) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We handle it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@letiva.uk.
02What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number, role and profile photo.
- Listing information — property addresses, descriptions, photos, rent and room availability.
- Activity — viewings you book or host, messages, waitlist requests, saved listings and maintenance requests.
- Tenancy records — tenants, agreements and compliance documents that landlords and agents choose to upload.
- Usage data — listing views and shares, used to give landlords performance statistics, and basic technical logs that keep the service secure.
03How we use it
- to run your account and show your listings to people searching for a home;
- to arrange viewings and pass messages between renters, landlords and agents;
- to tell you when a let property or room you asked about becomes available;
- to keep Letiva secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
We rely on the contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a safe and useful service, your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
05How long we keep it
We keep account data for as long as your account is open. When you close it, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except for records we must keep by law — for example tenancy and financial records, which may be held for up to six years.
06Your rights
You have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal data;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format.
Email hello@letiva.uk to make a request. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
08Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and tell you about any significant changes before they take effect.
